Aaron Williams
Founder and Advisor
Aaron has over 13 years experience within the Australian IT recruitment industry. Prior to recruitment Aaron worked in IT Audit and Security. He held roles such as BDM and IT Division Manager for a mid size IT recruitment agency before establishing Xpand in 2001. Aaron stepped down as Managing Director in July 2009 and provides ongoing consultation and advice to the business.
Aaron has a Bachelor of Economics from Sydney University with a major in Industrial Relations and Human Resources.
Justin Babet
Managing Director
Justin has over 9 years experience within the Australian IT recruitment industry. He held a variety of roles for the regional IT Systems Integrator Asia Online before joining Xpand in Jan 2002 as an Account Manager. Justin moved into a General Management role in 2004 and took over as Managing Director from Xpand's founder, Aaron Williams, in July 2009. Justin is responsible for the overall strategy and running of the business.
Justin has a Bachelor of Science from Sydney University, with a major in Psychology.
Rhys Hughes
Regional Director
Rhys has over 10 years recruitment experience working across Asia Pacific and has been with the Xpand Group since its inception in 2001. Originally performing a variety of roles including Account Management, Executive Search and Business Development, for the last 3 years Rhys has also operated in management roles covering Account Direction and Market Strategy. Today Rhys takes responsibility for Xpand’s new markets and products across the region. His background includes running and selling a small business and working in a variety of sales related roles, predominantly in a family operated engineering business.
Allen Russell
National Sales Director
Allen has over 10 years experience within the Australian recruitment industry. He has held various roles in the Industry including senior consultant, team leader, divisional manager & Business Development Manger. Prior to his recruitment experience Allen worked in the European and Asia Pacific Publishing Industries where he launched a range of trade publications. Allen joined Xpand in 2005. As National Sales Director, Allen is responsible for the Sales, Account Management and Business Development functions for the Australian business.
Rob Fanshawe
Managing Director, SE Asia
Rob has circa 3 years recruitment experience working across Asia Pacific and was recruited by Xpand Group in January 2009 to head up the Singapore office and run operations across South East Asia. Prior to this, Rob spent over 7 years with a niche UK IT recruitment consultancy specialising in delivering resource solutions for high-end professional service firms. He has held various roles in the Industry including senior consultant, team leader, client engagement manger & divisional manager as well as running project and outsourced recruitment services, giving him strong insight to the full recruitment life-cycle process and a unique understanding of both client and agency.
Rob has a BA in Classics from the University of Manchester, as well as having attained industry certifications such as RCSA and ITCRA.
