Xpand is a leading IT and Digital Media recruitment company with offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Singapore. We’re a close group of highly motivated and passionate recruiters with a focus on quality, exceptional service and delivery. Our business model is based around aligning closely with a core group of clients who are leading employers and / or leaders in their field. Essentially we only want to partner with the best.
In sticking to this model, over the past 8 years, we’ve built an exceptional portfolio of customers including large IT vendors, Digital Media Companies, Systems Integrators, Big 4 Consultancies and large corporates. Further, we have exceptional relationships with these clients, most of which have been long-term.
Xpand is structured a little differently than most agencies. We are a delivery focused organisation rather than a sales organisation. What this means is we don’t spend half our time trying to win new business, instead we focus on delivering to existing clients. It’s this approach that allows us to provide real value and a great experience to both candidates and clients. This is something that is evidenced by us winning Seek’s Annual Recruitment Awards (Australia) three years running (2003, 2004 and 2005). In 2006, 2007 and 2008 Xpand Group has achieved "Legend" status in the SARAs as an indication of our commitment to providing outstanding service.
In July 2007 we opened our Singapore office which will be our first step into the broader Asian market.
Why We're Different Xpand is a little different from most agencies - step into our offices and you’ll soon understand why. Yes, we wear jeans and look like more of an ad agency than a recruitment agency but that’s only part of the story.

Our Philosophy Xpand AMs aren't micro managed. They set their own KPIs and manage their own business.
Behind the scenes they're provided with the support and structure to help them be successful, from structured training programs, the latest and greatest systems, through to a centralised research function that provides long lists of candidate names and a distinct competitive advantage.
Business development is also centralised, providing a structured go to market approach. This doesn't mean Account Managers don't develop business, but it provides structure and support so that there's a consolidated, strategic approach that avoids the need to spend 50% of your time cold calling.
Types of roles
We’re always open to talking to experienced consultants. We split contract and permanent and usually have open requirements in both teams.
We’re also keen to talk to people who are interested to get into recruitment for the first time or that have less than 12 months experience. Usually this will mean we'll want to talk about a Research or Resourcer (supporting Account Managers) role, with a defined career path into an Account Management role.
