Programmatic has taken off but I think over the next 4-5 years the companies in the mix at the moment will be consolidated/bought out by the big fish. At the moment it is very competitive but I think the more understood programmatic becomes the more the big agencies will take it all in house.
Understanding not only the skill set required for the role but what the client needs as well from a company culture point of view. Knowing the job is the easy bit the specialist comes from tailoring the search to get all elements right.
