Senior Consultant - Technology, Singapore
Imagine me manually opening all mails to go over all the resumes; had to check fax machine for incoming resumes; filing and binding all resumes per skills set. If I need to screen CV’s for certain skills, I have to do it manually. No CTRL F to help me. I started working for an IBM Company and since then I’ve been focused on technology – from Mainframe, Cobol up to latest technologies. It pretty sums up my more than 10 years of experience in recruitment.
It’s never ending learning for me in technology. I keep myself updated by reading through latest trends, talking to the right people and just really being out there grasping all interesting information I can get.
I’m always inspired to know that I can make someone’s life better today.
Smell Sensor. Everything on touch screen technology.
With over 10 years in technology, I have done nothing else but technology. I may not be an IT by profession but this is the only area I know of by heart.
Relocating to Singapore was a big change. I tested my capabilities to be independent and I never thought I’d survive. I only gave myself a year cause I know ill come back running to my mother. Now I'm in my 8th year, and I can still see myself living here for a long time – or probably somewhere else which excites me.
More than anything, it’s the appreciation I get from my clients and candidates. My relationships with them have stayed on for years and they always remember how I became the instrumental for them to reach their goals.
This too shall pass.
Ned Stark – he should have lived for a few more seasons
JK Rowling – I want more HP
Kobe Bryant – just because I can invite him to dinner
Kim Jong Un – I love kimchi, so why not
My older brother who I never had the chance to meet. He probably feels the same in heaven.
