I did a number of things including multimedia internships in Tokyo and Hong Kong, dabbled in helping to create a technology focused investment fund, worked on YouTube projects, including the “WINGS” music video for Macklemore & Ryan Lewis in the US, and eventually began scouting talent in Hong Kong.

All Mobile Everything. I believe the emergence of mobile is one of the biggest game changers we have ever seen, technologically speaking. Anyone who can leverage habit-forming mobile products (and the data ) will reap rewards handsomely, whether it’s gaming, video content, social media, search, or live streaming: rule the screens, rule the roost.
Because it sounds way better than generalist? Actually, it’s not a term I take lightly. I have a tremendous amount of respect for those who believe in their craft and continue to improve over a lifetime. I take pride in learning something new every day.
When I was 17 I received a scholarship to study at a local high school in Fukuoka, Japan. Everything I did for an entire year was in Japanese and I only spoke to my parents in the US every few weeks. Every day was challenging, but eventually I got used to it. The experience was transformative and I have considered myself a global citizen since then (2004).
I get to develop personally and professionally in a field that I actually care about.
I sit next to a window. Sometimes the window cleaner guy is next to me. Tom Mackintosh sits in front and Vivian Xiang sits behind me.
I wanted to be an inventor. I imagined myself in a lab like Tony Stark.
