Consultant - Technology, Data Science & Analytics, Singapore
After graduating I worked in the HSE, Police, Bike Shops and as a Man with a Van with my brother while applying to join the Army, trying my hand at theatre production and political campaigning. Turns out all I wanted to do is bother people about their jobs. I started in Tech Recruitment in Amersham, in the countryside outside London then got the hell out to Singapore and didn’t look back. It’s coming up to 5 years since and I now I reckon I am an expert in the nuances of many different cultures, technologies and how to match people up. It’s now time to focus and put that altogether to become the analytics oracle.
I already got my head round the back end all the disruptive technologies sit on that, so it’s easy to follow the fun disruptive technology stuff undermining the established industry methods. Right now, it’s all about the numbers and it turns out everyone wants the maths bods to crunch all the numbers. I was a maths geek and I get tech ecosystems, so now I can get the world of Big Data, Data Science and Analytics and how it all fits together.
Learning and the opportunity to laugh (hopefully with others.)
Tipping point of the Consumer Internet of Things.
Because I don’t like faffing about with lots of different areas. Tech is where it’s at and where we all will be at.
Building a pair of bike wheels for a road bike that were about as perfect as it gets, by my standards.
Nerding out about new technologies and chatting.
