So, last week I was invited by General Assembly Hong Kong to lead a workshop for one of their classes.Â
That workshop was part of their course on âgetting hired in the digital ageâ. In the workshop, I delivered a short presentation on the best way to use LinkedIn: what a good profile should look like, how to get notified by recruiters, best practices on LinkedIn, dos and donâts, etc.
We really wanted to make the session as interactive and directly useful to a job seeker as possible, so it was a down to earth presentation, full of practical tips and based on real life examples that were shared by the audience.
And apparently their students liked it! We have received some very positive feedback and we have already been reinvited to run such workshops for their next classes. If youâd like to download the presentation, please click here.
Itâs really in our DNA at Xpand to participate in things like this. We love spending time within our target industries, engaging with candidates as much as possible to help them the best way we can. Weâre always happy to âgive backâ, do some pro bono work in our industries, share our knowledge and, especially when itâs a rather refreshing exercise to do â itâs a good reason to get out of the office (but donât tell themâ¦)!Â
See you next time GA!Â
