Please provide a brief description of your career history?

Generalist Recruiter in South Africa for 7 years. Recruiting across different industries such as FMCG, Finance, Engineering and IT.

What makes you ‘now’ in technology?

I am still learning the in’s and out’s of the Tech world, but I think the fact that I have worked with “React Developers” and I understand it better make me the “Now” in Tech.

What gets you out of bed on a Monday morning?

My dreams and the vision and goals I have for my life, and to better the lives of my family especially my mom and my younger brother.

What do you see as the next big game changer within the Digital Media and Technology industry?

From what I have learned in the past few weeks I think React Js is a big game changer. You either get on that React bandwagon or get left behind.

What is your greatest achievement? (This could be either work or personal)

This would have to be my qualifications. I am the first person in my family (Both mother and father) to have three Degrees, and now striving towards the biggest one my Masters.

What is the best thing about your role?

I have always wanted to get into IT/Tech Recruitment to learn more about the technology and different terminology makes it interesting. Feels like you are working with new things on a daily basis…and of course the best part is making someone’s day, making that call to congratulate someone on a new job. Nothing compares to that.

Who sits next to you in the office?

When you were a child, what did you want to be?

Oh that dream died before it even took off, I wanted to be a doctor but as I grew older I figured I cannot stand the sight of blood.

What is your favourite quote?

There are three kinds of people: those who make things happen, those who watch things happen, and those who ask, what happened?" - Casey Stengel

If you could invite 5 people to dinner who would they be?

The late Nelson Mandela, Oprah, Obama, Patrice Motsepe and Martin Luther King
