My client, an exciting Prop trading firm, focused on developing and implementing automated quantitative software and strategies, is currently seeking a highly skilled C++/Java to join their Hong Kong Team

  • This role allows for great amount of freedom and experimentation but with short life-cycles therefore you must have a passion for getting hands-on with data and have a great focus on performance & utilisation and attention to detail
  • Build cutting-edge tools and engines used by Quant Trading, Market Risk and Finance over very large amounts of data
  • Front-end visualisation & GUI development using Java
  • Development, testing and deployment of high performance communication channels with exchanges, brokers and financial data vendors
  • Revision and upgrade of data extracts, adaptation/transformation and loading process for all trading and clearing systems
  • Ensuring the consistency and accuracy of data processing pipeline
  • Provide high-performance data analytics and leading-edge storage & query execution engines

  • Degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or another technical discipline from a top university. Masters /PhD preferred
  • Experience with data structures and core programming concepts such as concurrency, networking and
  • memory management
  • Experience building large-scale, real-time, and distributed applications is desired
  • Excellent skills in programming languages (Java/C++) and scripting languages (Python/Bash)
  • Experience developing high-performance, multi-threaded applications using Java/C++
  • Experience in Windows and Linux environments.
  • Experience in designing data models and data warehouses, including relational databases with large amounts
  • of data
  • Experience with messaging systems like Kafka, ActiveMQ, Zookeeper is a plus
