Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate Automated Testing solutions across the entire platform from Front-end webapp to backend API components
- Test highly scalable, performant, secure backend components in a containerised environment with modern release techniques like blue/green and canary
- Test responsive real-time Front-end user interfaces
- Work in very close collaboration with the development and DevOps teams
- Perform regular upgrades of dependent software components as well as regular security checks, categorise severity, and drive timely remediation
- Analyse, design, code, debug, test, document, deliver and support testing solutions
- Support and train colleagues and any other related/ad hoc duties that may be required
- University Degree in Computing, Electrical, Mathematics or similar with 5+ years as a professional QA Engineer (Automation Testing) with a background as a software engineer
- Excellent understanding of testing concepts including white box, black box, regression, performance etc.
- It will be beneficial to have experience in testing integrations like payment gateways and FX trading
- Excellent working experience building automated testing environments using tools including at least one of - JBehave, Cucumber, Selenium, and/or KarmaJS
- Skilled in popular languages like Java, Python, and Angular 2+
- Good working knowledge of containerised solutions, AWS services and techniques, CI/CD pipeline, RDBMS and NoSQL databases
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Cantonese
