Position Summary
The Research & Planning Senior Manager will work with the senior sales management team across two main functions:
  • You will be the main point of call for business intelligence that will help set clear goals for the advertising department for the purpose of budgeting and provide regular analysis reports
  • You will manage research requests from both regional and local advertising teams and provide analysis and insight that will drive incremental revenue – these could be for programme analysis, advertising expenditure utilizing desk research or conducting bespoke research
Business Intelligence
  • To track and analyze the key sales indicators of Adsales network and identify trends in the market and define tactical and strategic plans to increase sales
  • Provide statistical reports that are focused and informative
  • Assist in the planning of the advertising budget
  • Analysis of sales achievement across products by channel and by market, identifying key trends and observations and broadcasting these in a timely and relevant fashion
  • Manage incoming adhoc inquiries/requests from all sales offices across the Asia Pacific region
  • Be the key point person for the management of local advertising insight and research – distill all pan regional data down into key sales stories for the teams
  • Work with the sales teams to develop business winning pitches
  • Be able to find the key stories within subscribed desk research (e.g. PAX, peoplemeters, ADEX)
  • When called upon manage bespoke research requests from start to finish
  • Work closely with all sales teams and regional sales offices to identify needs, opportunities and initiate on new projects to develop sales strategies and support revenue growth
  • Seek new areas of insight that can improve the knowledge of adsales network – attending relevant conferences and develop contacts within the research industry
What are we looking for in the potential candidates?
  • Degree Level Education Qualifications
  • Experience working in multiple Asian markets
  • Someone who understands the role of media in today’s modern world
  • Experience in mining desk based research for actionable insight and working with research tools for the analysis and interpretation of data
  • A bonus would be experience in developing and / or building analysis tools
  • Experience in working in financial planning / analysis or budgeting
  • Excellent communication skills – not just fluent in English but also able to write effective impactful presentations and be able to be concise
