My client is a leading global investment bank based in Sydney's CBD, they are a major force in the world of eFX and electronic trading, my client has a global presence with major hubs in the US, Europe and Apac. Providing leading edge applications for electronic trading and now market connectivity.

The Candidate / Role
I am looking for a Senior Connectivity Engineer with a proven background in FIX Protocol and buyside order management systems. The candidate will be leading a major connectivity project, dealing with vendor's and liaising with the business at a senior level, working closely with traders and top tier external clients.
The role requires a good understanding of  FIX session establishment, testing and configuring order management software you will be working with traders in the financial sector knowing how to work directly with traders and having good working relationships is essential
You will require
. 8 +  Years in technical support financial markets
Over 5 Years proven commercial in
  • FIX Protocol, Cameron FIX 
  • OMS, IRESS, Charles River or Similar
  • Configuring and testing FIX connections and compatibility 
  • Investment Banking Knowledge and experience with order management systems
  • Capital Markets background preferably in FX but not essential 
  • Knowledge in Legacy Systems / Microsoft Access
    Excellent communication skills both written and aural
  • Desired
  • Knowing how to book a trade would be a bonus, market data experience
