The Investment Platforms & Technology Services Team (IP&T) is responsible for designing; developing; deploying; enhancing; maintaining; and supporting the Department’s investment platform solutions and broader business & technology architectures.
Investment Technology Operations & Services team sit within IP&T and are accountable for ensuring that platform capability; operating processes and systems used within the organisations Investment Operating Model continues to be fit for purpose and in line with end-user expectations.  This includes:  enhancing; maintaining & supporting the existing platform and technology services to ensure they continue to meet the evolving needs of the Investment Department to support activities globally.

Essential Capabilities/experience:
  • Advanced technical knowledge, understanding and ability to troubleshoot, support, maintain and enhance business applications used in financial services:
    • Portfolio and Order Management Systems e.g.: Eze OMS, Blackrock Aladdin, Charles River, Bloomberg AIM
    • Execution Management Systems e.g. Bloomberg (EMSX, TSOX, SEF), FXall, FX Connect, Yeildbroker
    • Data Management / Data warehouses e.g. DST Anova, CADIS
    • Financial Market Data Systems e.g. Bloomberg, Reuters, Factset
    • FIX Networks, BT Radianz, NYSE Marketplace
  • Excel data modelling and VBA
  • Advanced technical knowledge, understanding and ability to troubleshoot user-facing aspects of:
    • Windows desktop environment and Microsoft Office
    • Microsoft Active Directory
    • Citrix
    • Networking and IT security
    • Wide range of business applications
    • Scripting, automation and tuning
  • Broad/ deep Investment & Investment Technology experience from within the Financial Service sector and more specifically Investment Management
  • Advanced experience in technical support and troubleshooting (in particular technologies and applications listed above);
  • Experience using service desk tools for managing incidents, service requests, knowledgebase, etc.;
  • Experience working in the Financial Services industry, ideally in Banking or Superannuation;
  • Experience of Financial Services including some level of competency in two or more of the following areas:
    • Trading
    • Settlement
    • Unlisted & Private Market Securities
    • Market Data
    • Order Management
    • OTC Investment Lifecycle
    • Equities
    • Fixed Income & Cash
    • Currency (spot & FFX)
    • Portfolio Management
    • Performance & Risk
