My client, a leading global investment bank, is currently seeking an experienced Programme /Project Manager to join their Trading and Settlements Operations Technology team in HK. In this Regional role the successful candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks that will range from Programme management through to Project Management, partnering with various stakeholders to execute large and complex projects including new business enablement and internal & external mandates within Capital Markets. Reporting to the Regional Head of Technology you will be responsible for the following:

  • Work closely with stakeholders (Business lines trading teams etc., Compliance, Operations and Technology partners at all levels) to define business objective, document requirements, track risks & issues and manage communications on project updates
  • Design, develop and implement, project plans, manage risks and escalation and ensure quality control throughout project life cycle
  • Drive project governance best practices
  • Support and participate in operational risk discussion.
  • Manage multiple conflicting business / technology priorities
  • Most stake holders are within North Asia region though some interaction with global partners in New York and London is required
  • Use Agile techniques for internal development project purposes
    Engage with and manage a number of external vendors with respect to certain projects 
  • 12 - 15 years of Programme/Project Management experience from a Trading and Settlements Technology background. Large scale Project and Programme experience from other Financial Institutions such as Insurance may also be considered 
  • Experience leading large and complex technology projects in delivery of business outcome preferably within Capital Markets
  • Ability to communicate effectively and influence vertically and horizontally across all levels, but especially senior level/C-level stakeholder
  • Excellent presentation skills and be able to express new ideas, concerns and opinions 
  • Strong business acumen and process knowledge in equity technology/trading lifecycle
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and risks in the APAC region is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and spoken, in English
